Our Privacy & Data Policies

Here are the steps we take to ensure your privacy and data protection

Terri Tomlinson & The Makeup Training Academy, are committed to our users’ rights to privacy. We strive to share transparently all aspects of how this website works in regards to privacy, terms, and personal data, and we are in full support of efforts to ensure your protection online.

The following is a collection of information and resources to help answer any questions you have about your personally identifiable information and our general data policies. We’re grateful for your interest in our business!

GDPR Compliance:

The European Union’s “General Data Protection Regulations” (GDPR) became effective May 25th, 2018. These new regulations standardize data protection law throughout all 28 member-countries of the European Union. They also include new rules governing the control and processing of personally identifiable information (PII). It also extends the protection of personal data and data protection rights by giving control back to EU residents.

The Terri Tomlinson website is based in the United States and only publishes data available from the United States. However, we fully support the spirit of the GDPR regulations for a safe and secure Internet. By design, we strive to embrace privacy by default and, whenever possible, do not collect and store personally-identifiable information.

Our Privacy Policy contains mentions of the few instances where personally-identifiable information is required. Typically this will include an email address in order to log in to submit a form or request more information or register for an event or a social network username in order to access some features. if Personally Identifiable information is not integral to the way our online business operates, then we won’t collect it. This approach has felt very much in line with the spirit of GDPR, and we’re fortunate that a lot of these data collection practices have been in place with us for some time. Occasionally, you may see a banner or form requesting consent for us to collect personally-identifiable information or informing you that we use cookies for tracking or other purposes.
At any time, you may request your information to be exported and sent to you for review, and we promptly honor any requests by you to have your information deleted and forgotten.
